Approximately 80 kilometers west of Paris, Claude Monet purchased his home in Giverny in 1890, and built his studio and waterlily pond. Monet donated his beloved Water Lilies paintings to his country and they are housed today in the Orangerie in Paris.

Stop at 12.00 AM for lunch at Restaurant Relais St Michel (modern, refined decor with an excellent view of the Mont-Saint-Michel monument).Then, ascension to the monument (by the ramparts or by the village) as far as the Abbey is located on the top.
