Visit the world's finest western museum. This five-museum complex includes the Buffalo Bill Museum, the Cody Firearms Museum, the Plains Indian Museum, the Whitney Gallery of Western Art, and the Natural History Museum.

During the summer months, the Historical Center expands its operating hours. Operating hours: April 10:00 am - 5:00 pm, May - September 15 8:00 am - 6:00 pm, September 15 - October 31 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. We recommend you allow at least 2 hours to visit this wonderful museum.

Shoshone River Raft Trip — starting at $35.00

On this scenic white-water float trip down the Shoshone River, your guide maneuvers you through striking red canyons. See native wildlife and hear about the geology, mountain men, and pioneers of the area as you experience the thrill of the occasional rapid. You will be on the water for approximately 45 minutes. This river is a level 2 with occasional rapids, participants must be comfortable paddling, and it is very likely you will get wet. Note: Life jackets are provided and required. Experience the thrill of bygone years when covered wagons crossing over Teton Pass in Jackson were a common sight. Traveling by horse-drawn covered wagons, you are swept away from the Town of Jackson into beautiful Cache Creek Canyon. Keep your eyes open; you never know whom you may encounter on the trail-after all, this is the west. You'll pull in to 'camp,' where you'll enjoy a delicious barbecue meal and the riotous entertainment of mountain men and cowboys.

There are two shows per evening, starting at 5:15 pm; Bar T-5 is closed on Sundays.

Wildlife Scenic Float Trip — starting at $65.00

Time: This excursion is available between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM on the days listed.

The 8-Mile Scenic Float begins at Pritchard Creek and travels past the nesting areas of both bald eagles and ospreys. The trip is a great way to see the beauty of the river and the geology that forms the Grand Canyon of the Snake River, without getting wet. The river is home to a variety of waterfowl and native animals including moose, deer and river otters. Early morning is the watering time for most animals along the river, and affords the best opportunity for wildlife viewing. Feel free to bring your camera with you! (3 hours)

There are five departures daily between the hours of 8:00 am and 3:00 pm. No experience necessary. Life vests and safety briefing are provided. Note: children must be 6 years old to participate.
