She has worked in the travel industry for several years, which has given her the opportunity to meet many different people from around the world. • Explore the Distillery District, where many movies have been filmed. The site, once home to the largest distillery in the British Empire, is now home to many restaurants, including the Mill Street Brewery.
  
  
• Visit the St. Lawrence Market and try the fest pastries and homemade sandwiches sold by the vendors.
  
  
• Keep any eye out for Toronto’s great street art. A favorite is in Chinatown at the entrance to Kensington Market. It features a cat on a chair on a pole and is properly named “Chairman Meow.”
  
  
• Discover Toronto Islands for a panoramic view of the city skyline, just a 10-minute ferry ride from the foot of Yonge Street. Centre Island offers miles of parkland with beaches, barbecues and picnic tables, boat rentals, bicycle paths, and even an amusement park.
  
  
• Visit Bata Shoe Museum, North America’s largest shoe museum. The collection boasts over 10,000 artifacts spanning 4,500 years. Items displayed include shoes from notables such as Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Elton John, Ginger Spice, Imelda Marcos, and an Egyptian smuggler who lived in 300 BC.
  
  
• Spend time at Ontario Place, an international entertainment, cultural, and leisure complex. It stretches across three man-made islands right off the Lake Ontario waterfront and offers lagoons, picnic areas, an IMAX theater, amphitheaters, mini-golf, pedal boats, boutiques, playgrounds, restaurants, pubs, and an amusement park.
  
  
• Visit the Art Gallery of Ontario, featuring more than 68,000 works from 100 AD to the present. Highlights include major works by pre-eminent Canadian artists as well as European masterpieces by Rodin, Monet, Cézanne, Van Gogh, and Picasso.
