This morning, rise early for an inspiring sunrise over Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). Witness incredible views over the dunes and stunning desert landscape. Continue to the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre, which houses an amazing collection of ceramics, paintings, and punu (woodwork) from the Anangu people, the traditional custodians of Uluru. Later this afternoon, visit “Sunset Strip” for a drink & canapes, and to witness the changing colors of the rock.

ADELAIDE EXCURSION TO KANGAROO ISLAND

Early this morning, depart Adelaide and travel by motorcoach and ferry to Kangaroo Island, one of the world’s last unspoiled habitats. Visit Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery to learn more about this interesting plant. After lunch, visit Seal Bay with a national park ranger to see a colony of rare Australian sea lions. Next, spend time at Raptor Domain to learn about Australia’s amazing birds of prey. Then travel to Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park to get up close to koalas, kangaroos, and wallabies. Return to Adelaide late this evening.

Cairns Botanic Gardens

The lush tropical flora of Cairns can’t be beat and a trip to the Cairns Botanic Gardens invites you to explore the beauty of its tropical flowers, trees, and ferns. Home to approximately 4,000 species of plants, you’ll want more than a day to capture it all, which can be easy to do, since admission is free. Buses run to the Botanic gardens from the Cairns city center, departing roughly every 25 minutes.

Wait-a-While Rainforest Tours

Many rainforest animals are nocturnal and difficult to spot during the day. If you’re a little nocturnal yourself, consider one of these tours designed to maximize wildlife encounters. They start at 3:00 pm and end around 11:00 pm.

Fishing Cairns

Cairns is the black marlin capital of the world. Whether you want to reel in one of these giant fish or try your skill against a barracuda or a tiger shark, this outfit can get you to the secret spots.

Cairns Esplanade

Get a taste of local life as well as a little exercise at this Cairns focal point. Go for a morning jog, join families flying kites, or take a swim in the lagoon.

Located in the foyer of Sails in the Desert Hotel, the gallery offers superb selection of Australian hand-crafted glassware, pottery, textiles, metal and leather work, featuring renowned artists.

Star Gazing

The Australian Outback is perhaps one of the best places to explore the galaxy of stars in the night sky. The low humidity and minimal unnatural light in the Red Centre allows you to view the stars and planets like you've never seen them before.

South Australia Museum

The South Australian Museum offers visitors five floors of exhibits that reveal many fascinating stories. Exhibitions and displays reflect the museum’s extensive collections including the Australian Aboriginal and Pacific Cultures collections, the Ancient Egyptian Room and the Giant Squid. Open 10 am-5 pm daily. Entry is free.

Rundle Street East

Be tantalized all year round by some of Adelaide’s best known cafes, restaurants and wine bars, most of which offer outstanding outdoor alfresco dining, making this strip one of Adelaide’s favorite hot spots for locals and tourists alike. For the more adventurous, take a detour down the many wonderful laneways off Rundle Street, such as Ebenezer Place and Vardon Avenue, where you will discovery some of Adelaide’s grooviest little fashion stores and other quirky shops – all of which are proudly South Australian owned and operated.

National Wine Centre of Australia

As well as eye-catching architecture, the National Wine Centre offers visitors a chance to experience the winemaking process through the interactive Wine Discovery Journey. You also have the opportunity to taste fine wines from all over Australia. Open 9 am until 6 pm daily.

North Terrace

Take a walk along North Terrace, Adelaide's cultural boulevard. At exactly one mile long, it contains many excellent examples of early Australian and South Australian architecture, as well as The Lion Performing Arts Center and the Anglican Holy Trinity Church, Adelaide's oldest church, which was built in 1838 soon after the arrival of the European settlers.

Melbourne

The Block Arcade

Step back in time as you stroll the beautiful shops of the Block Arcade. Perhaps enjoy afternoon tea at the Hopetoun Tea Rooms, where the Victorian Ladies’ Work Association ran a small tea room from 1893-1907.

Old Melbourne Gaol

More than 100 hangings took place at this former prison, including that of Australia’s equivalent to Jesse James—hero and bandit Ned Kelly. The collection of artifacts and death masks are most interesting. For a truly chilling experience, take one of the night tours.

Cook’s Cottage

Built in 1755 by Captain Cook’s parents in Yorkshire, England, this cottage was moved in crates and barrels to Melbourne in 1934. The cottage provides a glimpse into Captain Cook’s world voyages as well as insight into 18th- century English family life.

Queen Victoria Market

Melbourne is Australia’s melting pot, and this open-air market offers a true taste of the ethnic mix. Among hundreds of stalls, you’ll find everything from fresh produce and wine to handicrafts and bargain clothes. Closed Mondays & Wednesdays.

Melbourne Cricket Ground

Witness a local icon originally built in 1853. If you’re unable to see a cricket match or Australia Rules Football, visit the National Sports Museum located at the ground. Or perhaps venture to nearby Melbourne Park, home of the Australian Open Grand Slam tennis tournament.

Brunswick Street, Fitzroy

Find art, fashion and food on Melbourne's Soho strip. Boredom isn't an option on Brunswick Street, the vibrant Melbourne strip where people from all walks of life go to shop, eat, drink, meet and dance. And it’s a popular spot for filming several TV shows.

Manly Beach

Catch the ferry from Circular Quay to this iconic Sydney beach. Stroll through the corso while enjoying an ice cream or treat yourself to a beer at the Hotel Steyne overlooking the ocean. You may wish to walk along the beachfront to Little Manly Beach.

Walk across the Sydney Harbour Bridge

Enjoy spectacular views of Sydney Harbour and the city surrounds as you take an easy stroll across the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and back.

Queen Victoria Building and Strand Arcade

These shopping arcades are both architectural beauties in their own right. Even if you aren’t interested in shopping, they are worth a glimpse.

Clifftop Coastal Walk

This walk hugs the coastline from Bondi to Coogee and is 6 kms in length. Walk all or part of it for amazing views and perhaps stop for a swim at one of the beaches along the way.

Altmann & Cherny Opal Store

Located on Pitt St. at Circular Quay, this family-owned and operated business offers an impressive range of opal jewelry.

Paddy’s Market

If you want to bring home inexpensive, kitschy souvenirs, this Chinatown market is the place. Kangaroo oven mitts and Opera House shot glasses abound.

Museum of Contemporary Art

Stroll the MCA and experience the work of today’s artists from across Australia and around the world on your own or take part in one of the free daily guided tours. Getting hungry? Stop at the MCA Cafe on Level 4 for spectacular harbor views, site-specific art and a fresh daily menu. On Wednesdays, make sure to check out their contemporary art after dark when the galleries, cafe, and store are all open until 9 pm.

Sydney Opera Bar

Found at the water’s edge of the Sydney Harbour and base of the famous Sydney Opera House, the Opera Bar promises an experience to remember. Toast to unforgettable views, new friends and new experiences in the afternoon sun.

Explore The Rocks

Get a sense of Sydney's past exploring The Rocks' cobbled laneways, cozy cafés and oldest pubs in the country. Major highlights within this area are: Sydney Observatory, Argyle Gallery, Cadman's Cottage, Sydney Theatre Company, Lord Nelson Brewery, and The Rocks Markets where Sydneysiders flock to on Fridays and over the weekend.

Island hopping on Sydney Harbour

Sydney Harbour Islands Fort Denison, Shark, Clark, Rodd, Goat, and Cockatoo are among some of Sydney's most popular natural attractions. Catch one of the regular ferry services from Circular Quay during summer and take in the sparkling scenery.

Thai Town

Thai Town, located in Haymarket on Campbell Street bordering Chinatown, is a neighborhood in Sydney with a Thai theme. While not as elaborate as Sydney's Chinatown, it has quickly become to best place to go in Sydney for great Thai Restaurants as well as Thai grocery stores.

Kula Wild Adventure Park

Spend the day exploring the park, a combination nature preserve and eco-tourism destination. Take a nature walk through the forest on elevated boardwalks, hand feed sea turtles, and get your photo taken with the resident iguanas. Or, you may wish to pump up the adrenaline with a zip line or water slide ride. There’s even a café where you can enjoy a snack or a cool drink.

Visit Fiji’s Capital City

Discover the sights of Suva, Fiji’s capital city, on a day trip that introduces you to cultural sites and provides time to shop at the local flea market. See landmarks such as Parliament House and the President’s House and visit the Fiji Museum to see displays of archaeological artifacts, jewelry, instruments, and more.

Go Beaching at Natadola Beach

One of the top-rated beaches in Fiji is located on the Coral Coast. With beautiful white sand and turquoise waters, the beach is sure to lure you in for the day. All the typical beach activities can be done here. There are a couple of resorts nearby if you’re looking to get some drinks or a bite to eat.

Go Scuba Diving or Snorkeling

It’s called the Coral Coast for a reason. Either hire some snorkel or scuba gear from one of the local shops or your resort or join a tour to get to all the best spots. Tours will take you by boat to some of the outer reefs where you’ll discover some breathtaking underwater scenery and tropical fish.

Discover Naihehe Caves

This hidden gem on the Coral Coast is one that few get to discover but once you make the effort to get to these majestic limestone caves, you’ll realize it was well worth the journey. Take a 4WD tour to get to the caves – the road and rivers to get to the caves are an experience in themselves. Your guide will explain the Fijian history of these caves and there will also be the opportunity to enjoy some cave swimming too.

This art gallery is not only a great place to browse but it’s also a place to get crafty yourself. Join local artists and learn about Fijian art through the Namana Art Gallery workshops. The art gallery is also a great place to pick up authentic souvenirs for family, friends, and yourself.
